Weight gain

I've been struggling for a long time with weight gain and no matter how much I exercise and watch what I eat my weight stays the same. I've seen MD's and OB/GYN's and they have told me nothing is wrong with my thyroid. I'm taking Klonopin, Vistaril, Welbutrin XL, Neurontin, and Effexor. I know it would be pretty hard to get off the medications. Does anyone have any suggestions on this subject? Thanks!
Julie

Have you checked out the side effects of each of the meds that you are on?
I take neurontin and I have had no issues with weight gain with it my appitite has stayed teh same.
What type of excersize do you get?
I know that walking is a great way to burn calories and it gets your heart going so it also burns fat and carbs plus it is low impact.
What I do to maintain my weight is a combination of things
I do abs every other day for 25 minutes and I do three different type os yoga one for flexability one for stamina and one for strength and I rotate them so I do a different one each day.
on the days I do not do just abs I do pilates
and then twice a week I throw in a pilates for abs work out
it has helped me alot it gives me energy and it really sculpts your body not buldging muscle but it maes you lean.
Those are just my thoughts maye they will help you out a little
good luck.
