HI EVERYONE, JUST WANTED TO KNOW OF ANYONE TAKING MEDS THAT DIDN'T PUT ON THE WEIGHT. ANYONE WHO DID NOT HAVE THIS SIDE EFFECT????? THIS IS MY ONLY DOWNFALL OF GOING BACK ON THEM SHOULD I NEED TO AFTER THE BIRTH OF MY 2ND CHILD. PLESE POST AND LET ME KNOW WHICH ONES MIGHT BE GOOD. THANKS SO MUCH!!

Im on effexor & actually losing weight. Though Im doing more exercise (Pilates), my appetite has gone down quite a bit.

Paxil hasn't caused any weight gain on me.

Hi hun!


I took zoloft for over 2 years with very little side effects and NO weight gain to speak of other then what I would gain over the winters anyway LOL..

I, too, have had a good experience and decreased appetite with Effexor.

I take neurontin but that is a mood stabilizer and I have not had any weight gain from it before that I took lamictal no weight gain also just a very serious rash, I know that alot if not most ssri's have little to no side effects and I know that antidepressants like welbutrin which is a stimulant could make you loose weight I am not too sure on which kind of depression that you have but when you go to your doc just tell them that you do not want a medicine that will make you gain weight that is what I did and he had no problem doing that for me.
