Hello, Im new to this board and I have not been feeling to good latly. Im not sure if it is my age. I will be 44 this year I have three grandchildren I take care of and love doing so. My question is for the past year I cant seem to dress nice. I sit at home on my days off and when my husband comes home I feed him and go to my room and get on the computer. We dont talk much. He is not very affectionate. All I do is dress in sweat shorts and a T shirt and wear some make up. But I dont dress up like I use to. I also get a tention feeling on the back of my neck. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Welcome to the board! It is a great board to go to. Anyway, those are really good questions. For starters, I know how u feel regarding your husband not being very affectionate. My father is like that with my mother and the rest of the family. It seems like he pulls away everytime someone gets near to him emotionally. My mother and father doesn't talk much either, actually, it seems like everytime they talk, it turns up to be an argument. Anyway, I know the feeling! Here is a hug (((()))))

Also, how long have you been feeling the way you are feeling? They say that if you been feeling depressed or down for more than two weeks, then one should consult their doctor. You may have a mild case of depression, but I could be wrong. Do you find it an effort to get out of bed? Whatever u do, does it just take a lot of your energy to do one thing? Have u been sleeping a lot or having trouble sleeping? Rate your mood from one(being the lowest) and ten(being the highest), from the last two weeks, and if it has been low, maybe it is good to consult the doctor. That's my doctors favourite question to ask me, she calls it her "Famous scale" to rate how I'm doing. Some of the questions I have asked you are key questions too.

Anyway, I hope this helped you a little bit. Good luck, and please come back if you are needing to talk. This board is great.
