Hi all. I was diagnosed with depression based largely on physical symptoms. I have (had)terrible tension headaches and a terrible lethargy in the afternoons. Also had some PMDD, aggressive driving and short fuse issues. I stopped it by taking Zoloftwhich really helped. That made me gain weight so I am now on a low does of Prozac which seems to be working okay, less hunger but not dropping the weight.

Anyway, most people talk only about their emotions which were less of an issue for me, it was the effect on my body. Acutally, took over 10 years to find a treatment because, Dr.s never could figure it out until 6 mos. ago. Anyone else have more physical symptoms than mental?

Deb, I just love that sad little blue face that cracks open to reveal a happy smile.

I've had allergies and migraines all my life and they flare up in bad periods. I've only recently started treatment for depression but it's been going on for much longer. Physically, I'm exhausted a lot of the time, and I have amenorrhea. And when I feel very low, my joints ache.
