Mainly........my problem is self-esteem. It's always been in the gutter ever since I can remember.
Dealt with it all my life, always feeling like I don't measure up, not good enough, etc..
Like someone said, blah, blah, blah...........been over it a thousand times.
But I am lucky I guess (but then again I don't believe in luck, things happen for a reason). Great husband, totally supportive. Happy marriage, celebrate our 31st anniversary this Sept.
Beautiful, intelligent (thank God for that) 22 yr old daughter. Who is going thru that hard time of deciding what she wants to do with her life.
Our own successful business althou it is a little slow right now.
Economy going good??????????? Where in heck does Bush get that idea? From everyone I have talked to they feel the same way.
Right now I am feeling alittle better, thanks in part to the idea of light at the end of the tunnel with the new therapy I am in. And I have started a scrapbook for my daughter.
She never had one (I kept all her stuff but because I had to work all the time, never had a chance to put one together) It is going to be a surprize. Having so much fun doing it.
But it is not cheap to make it really cute, which I want to do.
She is in Florida right now with her boyfriend, living there, so I can work on it anytime I am free and she won't know.

I think one of the things that I have learned about this disease is that it is a disease just like diabetes or heart disease.
I think you are mistaken, though, in your feeling that your problems aren't worthy of complaining about or seeking support for. Everyones feelings are equally valid, and your pain is just as important as anyone elses. Low self esteem can affect your whole life, and is just as serious as any other issue anyone faces.
I am glad you are finding a hobby to fill your time. I love to scrapbook, myself, and find the creative outlet does wonders for my outlook on life. I hope you continue to feel better! Please post and let us know.
i see a strong positive really big effort.
that's something better than measuring up- more.
(by the way, can you share the new kind of therapy you're trying-- i could really use any helpful info! that's for sure!)
best, kat ;)
Anxious to see what it is and how it will play out.
OH......I LOVE the scrapbook. My husband wasn't too interested when I told him what I was doing, but then he saw the first 2 pages I did and he really like it. Now he asks to see what page I am working on and even gives suggestions on things he would like included.
I think (if I do say so myself) it is turning out really great. I am a crafty person. Love to do all kinds. So I didn't want to take classes, I figured I could do it myslef.
Tinybuns have a great session tomarrow! We're pulling for you! I love scrap booking too and I am self taught also. Just wish I had a room to leave all my stuff spread out all the time. Take Care, Brenda
Hugs, Brenda
Just in case anyone is interested, we have a gang of scrapbookers here at iVillage.
