Anger update and Question

Well, I made it through the day. I cleaned my car with an aweful vengeance. It was filthy and now it is just in great shape. It helped, a little, because I made sure everyone left me alone and I just grabbed and threw stuff away. It was cathartic, in a way. Now I don't wonder if the whole thing was tipped off by an OD on caffeine. I used to drink massive quantities of mt dew, but quit a few months ago for health reasons. Today I had about 5 cans of the stuff before 1:00. Of course that's when I started to freak out. I also wwonder if weather can affect people that way. We had tornadoes today and major storms. I calmed down right after the worst of the storm passed. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or if weather patterns can really affect a persons emotional state? I have heard that pressure differences can bother animals and some people, but does anyone know if this is more widespread? Maybe I am just grasping at straws, not wanting to believe I have that much anger in me.
Thanks to everyone who posted ideas. I wrote them down, so hopefully I will remember them the next time I need them. They sound like great ideas. It made me feel so much better to see all the supportive words you had for me.

Sara, I don't have any scientific evidence to back this up, but both of your ideas make sense to me =)
When you are already sensitive from taking a stimulant, it makes you far more sensitive to changes in your environment, such as the electricity in the air from storms. I don't know much about barometric issues. I've heard the old wives tales, but I've also heard that research doesn't bear them out. However, I definitely get more pain in my back when it's cloudy and wet outside.
I'm glad that you are doing better. I think it is always scary to know how much anger we are capable of feeling and expressing. It's good that you focused the energy into positive action. Doing that, as well as consciously letting your anger out in ways that don't hurt others can help diffuse that powerful and overwhelming energy.
Take Care,
