Day 2 on Effexor. Can't really say for sure if it's working, but at least I don't have any hideous side effects.... yet!

This morning I woke up to find a cockroach on the floor by my bed. Now since I live in New York, this isn't a rare occurence. But my apartment has not been in the greatest shape, since I had a depressive episode last week, and now that I'm on the effexor, I just feel like giving myself some breathing room. But the cockroach made me feel dirty, and I felt compelled to clean my apartment, but I couldn't because I had to go to work. So, now I feel gross and a bit ashamed. I'm even mortified to write it down here, since I'm sure you'll all think I'm just this nasty little girl. But really, I'm not that bad. messy, yes. Dirty, no.

But I guess rationalizing it, doesn't make the cockroach go away. I'm just all sorts befuddled. I can't seem to get a grasp of who I am lately. But, at least I'm not miserable!

Honey ,

A cockroach does not mean that you are dirty..when I lived in Arizona they well they have cockraoches all over the place it is kinda gross but when I first moved there I didnt know that little tid bit of information so I go outside one night to sit on my patio and look at the starts I walk out with no socks or shoes on and all I hear is crunch I scream run inside and turn on the light to see what I stepped on the whole patio was covered in roaches...I freaked thinking I was a slob so I spoke with someone about it they told me that what roaches do in extreme heat or cold is look for someplace safe and that is what happened to you....I do not know how big your appartment building is but it could be that someone a few floors above you or below you could be a bit messy and that is how they found you...

Try to not worry about it so much if you feel compelled to when you get home clean up I am sure that will make you feel better...
