Does anyone else experience vision change when depressed? There seems to be a gray film in front of me where ever I look. Therapists I've spoken to hadn't heard of that.

I call them "my gray days" because everything, no matter how bright and sunny it is out, or how much light I put on in the house, has a gray wash over it. Anyone experience that?

Im sorry I have not experienced this myself. Have you talked to your Medical Doctor about this? I also suggest that you find some books on depression and see if that is a possible side effect? Or you can do a web search on it?

I really hope that you can find a solution to it. Maybe it is a perception that you have...but it seems like you really physically see grey. Hmm I really dont know what to say. I wish you all the best of luck though @-}---- take care

Thank you for your response.

I have never posted here before, in fact this is my first look at the board... but I saw your post, so it sounds similar to me. Thought I would respond.

I have depression, for which I am taking Celexa.

I also get the "gray film" and have been diagnosed with a type of migraine. It is completely pain-free, the only thing I really experience is the vision disturbance. It starts with a shadowy effect over my visual field, usually one eye first, then the other, sometimes both at the same time. The gray area really isn't a gray area, it is full of shooting specks of light, mostly in a zigzag pattern of sorts. Every once in awhile I feel pressure in my head, but it really doesn't hurt. I could go on with a full blown description, but it would be easier for you to refer to it here at this website:

What I experience is the "migraine with aura". My doctor referred me to this site.

It is associated (for me) with stress. It is getting progressively more frequent, and as a matter of fact I am going for an MRI of my head in about an hour.

I hope this makes you feel better. You are not the only one!!
