Hi it's been a while since I've posted so I thought I would bring you up to speed. Back on May 5th I was put in our district pschyiatric (sp?) hospital and have been there since only coming home on weekends. The day I was admitted I was ready to litteraly throw in the towel. I was in bad shape menatlly as well as physically. The 2nd week there they tried me on Luvox and I couldn't tolerate it. After the second pill I was passing out so I'm now trying Remeron which leaves me feeling like crap. I can only stand or sit short periods of time without feeling like I'm going to faint and I'm only taking a quarter of the recommended dosage. The upside to all this is the workshops (anger management, feeling awarness and stress management) are helpful. I've also been given a proper diagnosis: anxiety, post tramatic stress syndrome, depression and an eating disorder. Now all we have to do is find a medication that will work with me instead of against me. I will have been on the remeron one week tomorrow and the doc will decide then if to take me off it and try something else or just what the next step will be. When I'm away I'm so homesick and depressed. I live an hour and a half from the hospital so I don't get visitors and I'm tired of the way the meds make me feel. I'm also wishing they had one on one councilling for me but that will have to wait until I am discharged. Well that's my explaination why I have been MIA. I will update you again soon.
Take care and have a great week,
Tam

Hi Tam!
Thanks for updating us!
*hugs
Hello, Tam!
I agree with Caly on this one that you need to take care of you and not worry about us...
I am so sorry that the meds are making you feel so crappy I do hope that they find something that will work for you and not make you feel like a zombie....
Awesome to hear they offer workshops at the hospital Iknow alot dont do that so I always like to hear that there is hope in some places..also glad to hear that you got a diagnosis I know how crazy it gets when you have no idea what is wrong with you so it is always good to hear when there is something medically wrong and that it can be treated.....
Keep up the good work with working on you do you know how much longer you will be there for?
Take care of you hun
Erin
