Update after doc visit

Hello,

I went to see doc for update after my week away from the hospital. I told her the truth and she wanted me to stay that same day. Unfortunately I couldn't so she gave me another LOA until yesterday.

Yesterday morning I called my GP to see if I could get an appointment with him so I could be hospitalized closer to home to continue trying different meds. He was not in his office but in critical care (booked appointment for next Mon). I decided since my ears had been bothering me anyway I would get them looked at and talk to him at the same time. After 3 hours of waiting I didn't get to see him but did learn that my left ear drum is bulging and my right had ruptured and was soooo badly infected inside the ear and behind the eardrum that they hit me with double doses of meds. If things aren't better by tomorrow I am to return to the hospital for I.V. antibiotic treatment.

We also went to look at a home the night before and I've been trying to arrange financing, deal with the real estate people etc. I feel so damn bogged down and overwhelmed right now.

Anyway, my doc from the mental hospital called and asked if I was ready to return. When I told her what I had on the go right now she was very concerned but was understanding about everything. She felt getting my ear infection under control was first and formost and they wouldn't try another med until that was cleared up anyway. She was also very sympathetic about the home situation so she extended my LOA until after my appointment with GP next Monday. I just hope I can cope with everything that is taking place before then. If I can't I will just tell DH you are going to have to do the leg work by phone (he works 16 hr days driving truck) and sign myself back into the hospital. Well that's my update. Sorry it's so long but a lot is taking place right now (stuff not even mentioned) and this is a true test to see just how much I can withstand.

I'm glad that things are on the way to getting better. Your ear must have been extremely painful, but at least that should be feeling better in a day or two. I hope you are able to get into a hospital closer to home, too. I don't have a lot of time, but I'd just like to suggest that you see a mortgage broker if you're having any trouble finding the time/enregy to go to different banks. If you are already dealing with your regular bank, it should be pretty easy to get the financing, but if you're running around, a broker would make it easier for you. You can ask your agent for a name.

Sending you lots of support--and congrats on the house!

Wow, your ears must have been so sore. I am glad that you have got some meds now so that can be cleared up.

Congrats on the house, btw.
