I have to many problems. From money issues to having two teenage daughters with problems and a husband that cannot relate to my problems. I need somebody to talk to that won't charge me money (because I don't have any money!). I can't seem to get anything done around the house. I just want to sit and cry all day.

This is a good place to bond and to vent and to get support. It's a really caring community. If you want to get counseling, you can call Catholic Charities. They can connect you to therapy programs that are free or minimal cost (like a few dollars a session). Since you are depressed, you would do best to look into their programs. Therapy helps better than almost anything for depression. Exercise and antidepressants also have been proven to significantly help depression.

Welcome to the board. I hope you will check in with us in the roll call thread we have every day. It's a great way to be a part of the community regardless of if you need specific advice.

Good to have you here,

As a person who is a lifetime dealer with depression-if you feel like noone understands you and you want to cry all the time you definately sound depressed. The money thing has always been an issue with me too. However, there are always options like sliding scale counseling and people who want to help. You just need to get across to someone or if you have to do it alone-get yourself help. You will be amazed at how many people are experiencing the same thing. Get into the phone book-call around-call a hotline if it gets to that-you will get help-I've been there and just recently. Do you have any insurance at all?

I care-

I am so sorry that everything is so overwhelming right now, your post sounds so sad, I wish I were there to give you a great BIG ((hug))

I have no experience with teenagers, my kids are still pretty young, if they are having problems could your Dr offer some free councelling for you and them?? I don't know where you are, the other posters suggestion of looking into the yellow pages might sound silly, but you'd be surprised what awesome help is out there for free.

I thought for so long my dh just couldn't understand me, I went through councelling (the gret free kind as I can't afford any of the ones that charge you, and to be honest, I doubt they're actually better at it) and my counceller asked if I'd ever tried to sit and talk with him. To be honest, my issues were so personal, and I really couldn't put any of it into words, but I tried so hard. He doesn't understand completely, and never will, but he felt great that I tried to share my feelings with him. He's my best friend I think we all marry because we feel that way. I sincerely hope that you and your Dh can find the time to sit and talk about things. If he isn't willing to listen, the perhaps you could find some *free* marriage councelling too. You could ask your Dr or Priest, I know there is free great help out there.

Take care of yourself, I hope that your having a better day today. Keep us posted, drop in any time, we're always here for you!!

((((hugs))))
