Husband may be depressed

My husband and I have been seeing a therapist because he does not feel the smae about me. Without making myself sound really great - he does not know why he is feeling this way. We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. In our last session, our therapist does not see where his feelings (or lack of feelings) could be coming from and it is not adding up to her. She seems to think that he may be depressed and therefore his "not so right" feelings could be aimed towards me instead of realizing what is really going on. I hope I am explaining myself well enough. Looking for help or to hear from someone that may have experience with this issue.

Many Thanks,

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie, my hubby and I both suffer from depression. When he is in a depression he is emotionally numb. He doesn't feel much of anything. Has your husband lost interest in things he normally likes to do? Does he have other symptoms of depression like problems with sleeping too much or not being able to stay asleep? Lack of concentration, no interest in sex? I would look at the depression home page and look up all the symptoms and show them to him. Perhaps you could discuss which of them you feel he has and decide if he needs to see a doctor. I hope this helps a little. Good Luck
