What are you thankful for today?

I realized today that even in the midst of the black hole of depression, I can still find many small things to be thankful for. So, even though things are likely rough for many of you right now, what are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful for:
clean sheets:)
hot showers
new shampoo
awesome body wash
things that smell good
my df- a wonderful man who has always supported me no matter what

Great idea Bethany, and how timely with Thanksgiving coming up.

I am thankful for a loving husband who is my best friend and my best cheerleader in so many ways.

A roof over my head, bills are paid and a few bucks left over to buy some extras that aren't essential but kinda fun to have around.

Thankful for my health which is slowly improving.

Thankful for a job with decent benefits and a private office with a door that can be shut and locked for peace and quiet at times.

Thankful for a faith in God, a super therapist and the Alanon 12 step program as well as all the neat ladies I have met through it.

Thankful I love to exercise! I have been doing it for over 20 years, and although I don't have that great of a shape anymore, it makes me feel good and keeps my aging bones limbered up.

And last but not least, I am VERY thankful for all of you here on the board! Hugs and love to all of you! Josie.

With a few slight modifications, this is a reprint of something I posted a little while ago; it still fits.

I'm thankful that my son survived horrific brain injuries with enough gumption to chase every breathing female who crosses his path.

Bethany what a great idea!! We should really try and stop and think about what we are grateful for.

I am going to start with a really obvious one:

I AM THANKFUL FOR THIS BOARD!!!

I AM THANKFUL FOR: ALL the wonderful women here.

My family.
My friends (who are like family)
My sport.
My full (overly full) fridge.
My looks...(I am kinda cute).

Done...I can't think of anything else.

Sending hugs and good thoughts your way.
Take care,
Lisa-)

Great idea, I agree...I know I take a huge number of things for granted, especially when I feel down. And even though I'll be alone this Thanksgiving, I know I have a lot to be thankful for...

This board, of course, and all of you! Also:
--My family and their support (emotional, financial, all-around helpfulness)
--The chance to spend my days learning about things I'm interested in and pursuing something I think I'll enjoy
--My health (and the incredible improvement in health I've had over the past year or so)
--To add to that, the two medications that have gotten rid of my extreme pain and made my life and career and everything possible
--Friendly and interesting people to talk to here at school
--Lots of activities to get involved in here and ways to help others

And to the smaller but also important things :)
--The "tunnels" connecting most of the buildings here at school so I don't have to go out in the cold too much!
--My weekly yoga class that I actually really look forward to
--Exercise and that "exercise high"
--Chocolate soy nuts! (although the scale won't be happy with those)
--Diet Mountain Dew (so bad for you, but it tastes good and keeps me awake!)
--Migraine meds to let me function when my weekly headache hits
--Hot chocolate
--A break coming up and a chance to catch up on all the studying I haven't been doing

OK, wow, sounds like I'm giving an acceptance speech at the Oscars or something...guess I didn't realize how much I have to be grateful for...and I'm sure there are a lot of other things that have just slipped my mind...so thanks for reminding me!
