Hello,

I'm new to this board! I was on Lexapro for about a month and I weaned myself off of it, *gasp* :). I know it's good for people but not for me! I just felt so powerless and like I was in a sleep zone. :( I started having feelings of perpetual sadness and lack of any enthusiasm after some hard times in my life. I went to my doctor at the encouragment of my boyfriend, ( I was ashamed to admit that I had a problem.) and was put on Zoloft. I felt so good for a while but then I got so bogged down with side-effects. I tried to outlast them but I feel as though I cannot function completely while I am on them. I'm not sure exactly what I'm trying to say but I just want to think that I am not going to be dependent on a pill to function in the real world. It seems that Dr's put a lot of people on these pills without proper concern. I have gained about 25 lbs between Zoloft and Lexapro. Uggh! I'm now starting to feel like I'm better. I can at least stand up with no dizziness! I would just like to talk to anyone else who is having problems with pills and would rather "natrually" find a way to avoid prescriptions. Thanks for listening to me ramble!
