Ok as you all know last monday my brother was buried. It was a very hard week and then this past weekend we did his birthday celebration just as planned. Even though there was some sad moments most of us just had fun like we would have if he had been there. I feel guilty that we were able to enjoy his birthday party with out him. I know he was there in spirit and would have liked to see us celebrating his life but I still feel guilty that the world hasnt stopped for him. I feel like everyone should stop and recognize what has happened is a tragedy.

Everyday my life gets a little bit easier to do the "normal" things in life but each day that it gets easier I feel more guilty for starting to move on. I love my brother and do not want him forgotten.

Ok on to what is happening with his case. We found out that the lady who hit him was drunk. And will be charged with vehicular manslaughter or something of the sort. We are now trying to focus our energy into making sure this woman goes to jail for what she has done. I dont think she should die or anything but I believe she should no longer be able to live her life like she has before. She should be forced to face the fact that she killed my brother and ruined our lifes. His fiance will never be able to marry him and have his children. My daughter no longer has her uncle who she loved very much.

Im sorry to go off on a tangent I just had to get this all out.

But other than the above mentioned "ish" I am actually dealing pretty well. I finally put up my christmas tree and have bought 2 presents for christmas. I am cleaning the house again and it feels good to not have a mess around me. Thanks for listening.

This is just a thought but here in the Washington DC area, they have a program where the victims of a drunk driving death, can be part

Thank you so much for your kind words. I never thought about that type of program but that would be perfect for my sister and I. Thank you for the information and support.

Roxanne: Trac said it better than I could. Just know we all care here, and I know your brother would want you all to go on, to enjoy life since his was tragically taken away from him. Take care, hugs, Josie.
