Was this an insulting comment to make?

My boyfriend's mother and I e-mail each other frequently, and I recently wrote in one of my e-mails that sometimes I worry that my boyfriend doesn't eat enough. He works odd hours, and sometimes he doesn't seem to eat very much. I didn't think anything of it when I wrote it, but looking back, I'm really hoping that I didn't offend her. I didn't mean to imply that she doesn't feed him or something. He is living at home right now, but he's also twenty-three years old. I know that a mother's son is always her baby, but I'm hoping that my idle comment didn't insult her. I know that I can always apologize if I do find that she's insulted, but I was wondering what you thought. Do you think this was an insulting comment to make? I only meant that I care about him and worry about his health.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the advice - I think that you are right. I think that my relationship with my boyfriend's mother is strong enough that a comment like that wouldn't really bother her. She'll actually probably agree with me!
