In late september me & my boyfriend went to Cleveland to watch an indians game. i was really excited it was my first time ever there & my first real baseball game i've ever went to. The whole time i had a lot of fun. Close to the end of the 9th inning we decided to walk to our car and beat the crowd. Only our car was not there. We searched up and down the whole block. it wasnt anywhere in sight. We finally found a payphone & called the police. they said it hadnt been towed. Nice. Our car, the one we put sooo much money in to make look nice had been stolen. We had to walk all around downtown cleveland to find a police station. Finally about 10 blocks away we found one. We made the report and i called my mom to come get us. And that was it. We got a letter 2 weeks later saying they found it. So we made another trip up to cleveland. about 1 1/2 hours from where i live. We paid the $100.00 fee to get it out and went to look at our baby. it was horrible. right there i wanted to cry. yea, its just a car but all of our c.d.s were in there. we had 50. our nice sound system in the trunk was in there, and most of all our memories. it was my boyfriends first car. they took 3 tires, the rims on it, the sound system in the trunk the floor mats, the bulbs out of the headlights, the spare tire, the windshield washer blade, anything u could possibly think of i mean they ripped the backseat out trying to get to the trunk. that didnt work so they broke open the trunk from the outside. they even wrecked it. And the worst thing no one got in trouble. no one. they wont even take the time to find out who did it. we couldnt bring our car home with us b/c the spark plugs where missing, the battery was missing, andthey cut a bunch of wires. it would take thousands of dollars to fix it. My purse and his wallet were in there. we had to get all new s.s.n cards, and licenses. i just cant stop thinking about the memories with that car. it was so nice. weare practilly going broke now paying off a crappy car we had to buy. it sucks.noing it happens every day and no one gets in trouble. has this happened to any one else?

How awful for you! And you are right the most depressing part is most likely the thief will not be caught. I try to make myself feel better though by believing that most of us do reap what we sow and that someday somehow they will pay for their crimes.

Welcome to the board.
