I called the local county mental health care and asked if they had any groups for sexual abuse survivors or depression and they had a depression group. IT'S FREE! I am going to start going tomorrow night. They meet twice a month. I am really happy I found a group. I had been going to a depression group but it was taking my allotted therapy slots on my insurance and it was costing me a copay of 20 dollars. I finally found a T that I think I can work with and I want all my therapy slots for her so this will work out better. It will be hard to start a new group, but I have only been to 6 group sessions with the other. I am going to beat this depression and I am going to find resources that are good for me. My new T is an hour and a half away but I'm committed to this and I want it to work. I found out my pdoc sessions don't count against my Therapy allotments. So I have 30 sessions a year. That's at least two a month and 6 more for emergency times. Plus now I have this local depression group to go to. I really wanted a survivors group but this will do for now.

The group was big about 12 people. They said that's a lot for the norm. I liked it. Everyone shared their DX and told about meds and we discussed topics that we wanted to have for the year. They have speakers come to the group at different intervals and it seems to be a well founded group. They meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each moneth and on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 10:00 am they have a coffee club where the group
