emergency surgery (trig?)

just was released from the hospital a little while ago, went to the ER friday around 3 PM. they did a CAT scan and there were calcium deposits around my appendix, the pain was mostly around that area and my cervix. i had to stay overnight while they monitored me, then saturday took me down for surgery after the on-call surgeon and my OB confered.
my appendix was enlarged (it was taken out) and i also had *retrograde bleeding.* meaning, my blood was not coming OUT like it was supposed to after my D&C (or even this happens to people at their periods sometimes), it was stuck and going UP. not sure how that works and right now am too tired and hurting to care. OB said that means when i'm done having children, the best thing is to have a hystorectomy or it can cause me serious health problems down the line. GREAT.
anyway, not something i will worry about today.
i have 3 incisions, 2-3 inches long each, and OMG i am hurting! they cut back the morphine overnight, so all night i hurt too much to breath. then this morning said i only get 1 pain pill every 6 hrs when in the hospital (can take 2 at home). i just took 2 once i got in the car to come home to get on top of this. OUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCHHHHHHH. bled right through my shirt, underwear, and pants on the lowest incision in 10 minutes of wearing these clothes. they go diagonally up across my belly, mid one is my belly button area.
SO now we know why i was hurting and miserable and whining.
hope you are all doing well today. i will check posts when i am able to sit longer.

i find it helps me to think about other people's lives and problems now and then. gets my mind off my my own problems, depression, and currently physical pain - if just for a few minutes at a time! ;) besides, the nurses said i need to be up and about some so as to restrengthen these muscles and keep from getting pneumonia. guess they are worried that i wasn't well physically before the surgery, so my risk is greater than otherwise. i doubt i get that sick though. it's too hard to lay down and stay there even if that's what i was supposed to do!
but anyway, back to sitting up in my bed rather than this hard chair.
