Trigger - new here

Hi:
I am new here but not to depression and anxiety. It has been a part of my life probably at a low level since childhood - but I didn't "crash" completely - had to stop working, disability, hospital once - until about 2.5 yrs ago.
I am medication resistant and have been on every one and almost all combos.I have gone to differnt docs (at my doc's request) for differnt opinions. I am currently on Cymbalta - I believe the newest one on the market, no side effects - good drug but as with all it doesn't help much even with dosage changes etc. (but all of you out there who are having trouble finding the right med should give it a try). My doc augmented with lamictal about 2 months ago which helps some - I am not bipolar as in getting the highs - what happens is I am a little better and then go into deep depression or "back to the couch" as I call it. Now he has also added adderal (just last week) which gets me up but doesn't really help the depression (I see him tomorrow). I also have xanax or valium for anxiety as needed. I am so tired of all the meds!!!There just doesn't seem to be much hope for any real, lasting relief. I have a therapist as well and she is the best I have ever worked with but one step forward, two steps back..
I guess I am venting and asking advice as well.
Positive thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

(((((Bonbella))))), not many of us here are qualified to handle medication questions, but every one of us is familiar with the "back to the couch" syndrome.
