What do I do when everything fails?

I have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and several other conditions a few years ago. I have tried several different treatments and everything that I have tried has failed so far. Because of that my life is turned upside down in all areas. I am not able to work. I am in a bind and not able to claim disability, I have financial problems, no insurance. I don't have a medical card. I can't go to the doctors because I have no way of paying for it out of pocket or my medication or testing supplies. I can't afford to pay for therapy. I don't qualify for disability section 8 benefits which I also need. My husband and I are really stuggling to make ends meat. I have special dietary needs and I can hardly afford to eat healthy because our grocery budget is so limited. I have severe medical problems that confine me to the house in the winter and make me have to depend on my husband 100% during the winter months. We don't get any help or support and it is driving me out of my mind right about now! Please help! I am willing to listen and try anything to make things better.

Hi, Deb! Thanks for your reply. I don't qualify for medicaid. I am aware of the saying that you mentioned. However although I am not suicidal it seems as though that rope of mine is tied in a knot around my neck. It makes me feel like I can't breathe! Yes I have tried to seek help from the church and other outreach avenues with no luck. I am not going to give up hope. Something is bound to work. Thanks for your support and trying to help I appreciate it. Hope your day turns out to be as sweet as you. Take care

I am so sorry you are going through with this hard time. Have you tried calling your local mental health and social services departments to see what/if any services you are eligible for?

Hi, CLsue! I got your message. Yes I have already tried all of those avenues. I have gone through therapy. I checked all of the referals from my therapist, as well as the local mental hospital and mental crisis center. I have also sought help from the church and other non profit organizations. I checked into disability/SSI, medicaid and foodstamps. Access to care. All of the county clinics. I have had to be in the emergency crisis mental health center as an inbound client several times as well as admitted to the mental health hospital as a patient several times. As well as the regular hospital. I have gone through extensive full time therapy classes. I have checked out organizations such as NAMI. It is just that I have a very complicated case. Having the variety of issues that I have it is very difficult to treat. Although I have already been on numerous medications and have taken them everyday as perscribed nothing has worked so far. Infact the reason why I was in the crisis center and hospital so much is because of the side effects of the medication. My symptoms got worse. I finally got to a point when I stopped taking all of those meds. I started to address my health concerns with an all natural appraoch. Now that I have been off all of those meds for two years going on 3. I am doing considerably better. I have not been hospitalized or in the crisis center for two almost 3
