Usually it's better this time of the year because, through my church, I had the opportunity to serve others which helps me.

Usually the holiday season is when the depression surfaces but for the past few years it hasn't been as bad as it had been previously. Keeping busy and reaching out to others have helped a lot.

I have been off of medication for my anxiety and depression for well over a year now and for the most part do fairly well, but this time of year definitely affects me badly.

I was doing pretty good. In fact, I was caught up in the spirit, but today I wish it was all over & done with): It's a matter of stress. Too much in a short period of time. Not the stress of dinner, BTW. We're having a simple dinner on Friday. Tom. I will be on the road @ 4am to visit my dd in a sober living facility. I can't wait to see her! Maybe the rainy weather & the fact that I won't be @ my parents for the toxic family gathering;) is affecting me! jan
