I posted awhile ago a Depression website, but thought maybe I should change the subject title because there really was not much of a response to my post.  It is a depression website, but it also has the locations of support groups across the country, so if you want to try a support group for depression, check it out:

Thank you for the info Heidi. The nearest support group to me is 2 hours away. I figured that would be the case though. Maybe one day I will be able to move and will be closer to some support.

Yes, I definetly benefit from going to depression support groups (I go to 2 different ones, since I live in a big city).

I agree with you Deb, although Alanon for families of alcoholics isn't the same as depression support groups, but you get some chatty ones and no time for the rest of us.


I went to an all women's Alanon, I kid you not, once there was close to 100 people there!

The groups I attend, don't have a therapist leading the group.
