I have only been dating my boyfriend for a short while and he has brought up that he thinks he doesn't make me happy. I have been diagnosed with chronic depression and have been managing these emotions with biofeedback therapy, yoga, and individual counseling. funding for these avenues has been limited to one biofeedback session per month and yoga alone or with a willing friend.

I am definitely happy to have my boyfriend but I do often feel sad when he is around. It is hard for me to get excited and I have not had a healthy appetite for the past month or so. I am a full-time student and spend my free time travelling to visit my boyfriend...I have lost my closest group of friends since my last breakup as they were all my ex's friends first. I lack self confidence and have troubling believing my current boyfriend like me as much as he says he does because I don't usually like myself.

What are some not medicated ways to decrease stress?

How can I show my boyfriend that he does make me happy when it is hard for me to feel happy?

Does exercise help, why?

Welcome, and I don't have all the answers, but will share a few thoughts and see if any of them ring true for you.
