Is weather effecting your depression?

I live in central Ohio and we haven't had the worst of it, but what we have had, I am sick of snow already.   It adds commute time every day, sick of checking out the weather to see what plans will need to be changed or cancelled every day.   We took a gamble and didn't move my car and now it is snowed in and neither one of us is physically able to dig out a foot plus drifted snow on a hilly drive to get me out.

The good part is hubby can drive me in his 4WD truck since he is retired.

I want sunshine, warm temps and wearing my shorts to work.  I want more sunlight!

If I didn't have a time clock, I could seriously hibernate until Easter.

How are the rest of you dealing with Mr Winter?  Josie

A hug can turn your day around.

The ultimate freedom we have as human beings is the power to select what we will allow our mind to dwell upon.

I am an unique, beautiful, unrepeatable, miracle of God.

I live in the bipolar city...it is true! We have rain, sleet, snow, dust storms and sunshine all in one day...I guess I handle it by knowing I am more stable than the weather! Also, these grey days make me grateful to see the sun if only for a little while. The grey changes the streets and cars and people, it gives us a new perspective and allows to view the world differently every time the weather changes! Throw a snowball or jump in a puddle, they aren't nearly as sad as they seem!

We have 30 inches at our house and hubby has been using the snowblower for two days.

HI Deb: I wish we had a snow plower, we really need one, and will probably find someone to plow the longer hilly drive out after the mid week snow storm hits.

I am so sorry your therapist is leaving!

It's not so much like as accept! You can't help but be entertained when you're driving home and a dirt storm changes to rain and snow before you reach your driveway! I miss the sun, and its seratonin though. Are you familiar with
