Not even a trip to Hawaii...

makes me excited. Mostly, I am stressed. My dh and I are supposed to go to Hawaii on the 17th of February. I have been buying new clothes for the trip and making plans but I am just not excited. People ask me if I am and I act all happy but I still feel numb. I love the thought of going to Hawaii and I've never been but emotionally, blaaaah. It doesn't help that my dh has been driving me crazy. He is in Florida right now. He's been there for 2 weeks and will be back on the 11th, just a week before we leave. This is a business related trip with an association that his business belongs to so his office manager made all the travel arrangements. He didn't know anything about our flights except what day we were leaving, not even the day we were coming back. He doesn't know what hotel we are staying at. I bugged and bugged him with until he had some information sent to me with flight information and 2 activities that we signed up for thru the association. I asked him about what kind of meetings he had to go to since this is supposed to be a business trip and after several times and miscommunications I finally found out that we had to attend a dinner the first night and a dinner on the last night. He didn't have any details though. I wanted to book a helicopter ride and he said "Great! Book 4 tickets" since his business partner and wife will be there. When I asked him for information cuz they need height/weight for the trip, he said "Wait because I haven't even asked them if they want to go or not." I went off on him because we can't just show up. He seems to think that all we have to do is throw some clothes in a suitcase and show up at the airport. I may never go to Hawaii again and I want to enjoy it. Except for a bit, I'm not a hang out at the beach and do nothing type of person. I want to go places and see things. Anyway, I am just feeling blah and would rather lay here and sleep all day. It really bugs me that I can't get excited over a romantic trip to a beautiful place with just my hubby.

As soon as you land in Hawaii you'll be glad you took the trip.

I'm sure that I will have a good time. My doctor is also increasing my meds when I see him on the 11th and that should help me feel more emotion. I think that the issues with my dh aren't helping. I am a traveller who likes to have as much information and planned activities as I can before I travel. I don't have to have everyday planned but I do want to make sure that whatever we want to do that requires advance reservations is set up and that we have a list of other activities that we may want to do. He finally just told me to set stuff up for the two of us and let them do their own planning. I wanted to be nice and set stuff up if they thought it'd be interesting.
