Envision a happy life?

Maybe your happy, maybe your not.  If your not, how would your life be if you were happy.  What would happen to make your life happy?

For me, I am mainly happy, I just miss my friends and family in another state.  So, I would be truely happy if a few of my close friends moved nearby or if I would have friends to hang out with once in awhile.

What about you?  Interested to hear what you all have to say!

Great thought-provoking question!

My answer for me:

Happy life = fulfilling career (decent job utilizing my degree and license and decent pay such that I can afford to pay off my loans and be above the poverty line), more single friends in this state, someone to share my life with and have a family of my own

HI Deb: I had to smile as my therapist has told me outright that I am my own worst enemy.

I hope life has been treating you well and that you have a very nice Easter.

Josie,

Just so you know, I did get permission from her to use her journal assignment before I posted it as a question on the board :)

Its a thought-provoking question, isn't it? Doesn't matter where it came from--but its a good thing to think about. My answer to my therapist was decidedly longer then y'alls. Maybe I have more that needs fixing! LOL!

Short version of my answer was;
-Have a happy, healthy romantic relationship.
-Stop the internal self-defeating dialogue.
-Believe in me again.
-Have a career that I find satisfying, challenging and allows me financial independence.
-Volunteering in a way that helps others (elderly, foster kids, homeless.)
-Rediscover my creative outlets (writing, drawing, painting)
-Lose weight/be physically fit-defined as being at a healthy weight, have tone to my body and be able to to wear swimsuits, shorts and sleeveless tops w/out feeling self conscious.
-Be able to spend time w/ my friends and family.
-Cut ties w/ anyone who is a negative presence in my life.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

In some ways, I am happy. In others, not so much. Finances and the situations involving them. Not having many friends that are OFFline, makes me feel unhappy.

Achieving the goals ive been working on for years makes me happy. Looking foward to what the future holds for me, makes me happy.
