Tristan Jerome for a boy (M)

Since for some reason it won't let me post to the old messages. (Or It's just the pregnancy induced stupidity. I thought I'd bring back my question on your opinions of the name Tristan Jerome (TJ) By the way last name starts with an "o".
First I wanted to thank everyone who replied, you have been a tremendous help!
For those of you that know school aged boys, were they teased at all?
For those that don't care for Jerome, what middle names go well with tristan?
For those of you that chose the name Tristan for your little boys, what do your parents think of it and what made you choose that name.
Oh and I would consider the name Jerome as a FN but have no clue then on MN's.
I also like the name Dawson, and Jonathan and Travis and middle names Mitchell, Ty, Jeffrey... pretty open..
Like I said before, it's my first baby, it's a boy, parents hate the name Tristan and I just don't want to regret what I name him.

P.S. We were all set to name him Jacob Jerome and then my sister had a boy and named him Jacob. Also Siblings & Cousins names/kids are Michael, Mark, Michael, Xaviar, Alexander, Phillip, Scott, Daniel, Westleigh, Jacob, Todd and Hubby's name is Brian Lee

How do I deal with the fact my mommy hates it?
On names, Tristan is a nice name. Where I am, so far, it hasn't been used by a girl. I know two boys (15 and 2).
Tristan Jerome doesn't flow to me. I think it's a fine mn, only if it's used to honor family.
Of your others, I like Mitchell and Ty a lot. I know a Ty Brennan. I think that's a cool name.
With Tristan- maybe another J- name? Tristan Joseph, Tristan Jeremy, Tristan Joshua, Tristan James, Tristan Jameson
For you or hubby- Tristan Lee, Tristan Bryant
Others I like with Tristan- Tristan Cole, Tristan Luke, Tristan Robert, Tristan Neil, Tristan Alec, Tristan Maxwell, Tristan Hunter, Tristan Eric
Other names you might like- Christian, Aiden, Jorgen, Markham, Chadwick, Bradley, Spencer, Garrett, Hartley, Collin, Corbin, Tanner - - -Best wishes, Ginger

Congratulations on your baby boy. Just my two cents on the names. I like all your coices, and think Tristian Jerome is a great name.
But Dawson is not, unless it's a family name. Everyone will know/think you named your baby after the cancelled TV show - which will probably go into re-runs until your son is about 12, and trust me, he will be embarrassed. (My aunt named her daughter Mallory, as in family ties. She's a smart girl, and is always slightly embarrassed that she was named after a dizzy girl on a TV show).

Anyway, my son hasn't ever been teased, kids have no problems remembering or saying his name, he seems to be a popular guy at the playground and his sunday school and preschool teachers adore him, and his name. I've had nothing but compliments on his name. (Tristan LeAnder Tyler)
Tristan Jerome is lovely, and TJ is too cute. My husband and I are not big on nickanmes but if you like Tristan, and you like TJ, GO FOR IT! Your Mom hasn't met your baby yet, and she'll love the baby no matter what his name. She could just call him TJ. My MIL calls my son T.T. just to get on my DH's nerves. lol His view on this, at age four is, " ONLY Nana can call me T.T. and I don't really like it. Everybody else has to call me Tristan!" My 2nd son, Justice Xavier, MIL calls J.T. Again, just to get on DH's nerves! lol My sister hates the name Justice because she has a little lisp and sometimes it'll come out a little funny, and she doesn't really like the names we have on our list for our future babies, but she is dying to have a new niece or nephew to hold. So...
In the end, its my personal opinion that you need to choose a name you love and that you think will suit your baby boy.

Thank you!!! Just what I wanted to hear. We (my Husband and I) are really set on the name Tristan. We (I) Just wanted to hear from someone that had named their baby that. I really think it will fit him well and for my mom if she doesn't like it TJ or just plain T is fine by me, but me, my hubby and his two girls like the name, just when my mom says what ya gonna call him Trissy, Triscut etc, it hurts. I told my hubby we should decide on this name but not tell anyone that we have agreed on a name until I put him in my moms arms and say "mom this is your grandson "Tristan Jerome. "
Thanks Again for the reply. I just needed some reassurance that it was a good name I (and others, besides my mom) are proud of, and wanted to hear that a boy name Tristan liked that name.

P.S. My siblings are Michelle, Michael, Mark, Amanda, and Nicole and I was named Meleah (pronounced Ma lee ah) and boy did I hate my name growing up and got teased A LOT! I just always wished I was named something common. On the other hand I think Tristan will have many other boys at school with the same name, that if I don't name him this I will later regret it.
