think of Samantha Chase (or Samantha Reilly) for my baby girl due in Aug.?

My husband was not fond of Natalie or Amelia, which I had on the list. I didn't like a few of his, either. So we got left with Alexandra or Samantha for a first name (with a possible Lauren, but that's really in reserve), and Chase, Reilly or Morgan as a middle name. I wasn't crazy about Samantha when he first brought it up, but it's really grown on me. For fun, my husband has started using the nicknames (Sammy or Alex) when referring to the baby as we email back and forth -- just to get a feel for them. He keeps signing his emails "Sammy's Dad" and it sounds so cute, I feel I can't argue with it. I wanted a timeless classic name with something more unusual for a middle name.

What does everyone thing? If there's anyone left to give an opinion....

I like Samantha Reilly best. That spelling is cute, yet still a little bit feminine (I think of Reilly as a girl while Riley is a boy.)

I like Samantha Reilly better than Samantha Chase (seems to flow better). I think Samantha's popularity peaked a few years ago, but it seems to have waned now. Although, Samuel (nn Sam/Sammy) seems to be getting more popular for boys, so your Sammy may go to school with a boy Sammy (probably not a big deal).

I really like the name Reilly. I went to school with a boy named Chase, and he was very very smart. I think Samantha Reilly ( depending on your last name) flows really well.

Samantha is one of my fave names...it's so pretty & classic! I much prefer Samantha Reilly over Samantha Chase.
