Maren Eliza or Louise or Kristina(Derived from Grandma Karen, Gr.Grandma Mary Louise and my sister Mary, Kristina from Danish heritage)

Abigail Ruth (Ruth after my mom and Dh's grandma. Abbie cause it goes cute with sister Jenna)

Eliza Anne or Claire ("Ellie" DD 16 really wants this. )

How do I choose! Does anyone get so obsessed with thinking about it that it almost makes you sick? I swear I'm panicking. Someone help me see this in perspective. It's NOT that big a deal, Right?

Need your thoughts. Thanks

Carol

You have 3 great choices. Have you considered Eliza Maren? You could still use 'Ellie' as a nn and honor the family too.

My favorite would be Abigail Ruth, but I don't have any family connections to the names, so it's easy for me to pick.

I would also use Kristine instead of Kristina with Eliza. That eliminates the double A endings.

Good luck and don't worry. You're sure to pick a great name with those choices.

Maren Eliza ~ I like the sentiment behind the name but Maren is nms

Abigail Ruth ~ LOVE it. Love nn Abbie SO much and Ruth is SO cute

Eliza Kristina ~ Eliza Kristine sounds better to me

I'm not a big fan of Eliza because my name is Elizabeth and Eliza just looks unfinished. Maren seems like a made-up name IMO.

I like Maren, with any of those middle names. Eliza Claire is also very pretty.

Dear Carol,

It IS a big deal, but not big enough to make yourself sick over ... Your daughter will grow into whichever name you give her, and it will fit her perfectly! My favorite is Maren Eliza, because Maren isn't overly used or trendy and it honors both her grandmothers. Eliza because it's just hers, and you picked it because you like it, not out of any obligation.

When my third son was born, I had a similar crisis. I had been poring over name books, etc. for NINE MONTHS and his dad and I simply couldn't agree. What I did was create a list of ten names I absolutely loved. Then, I gave it to dad and said "Pick one!" That worked for me. I didn't get my VERY first choice, but it's a good name.

Best wishes to you! Try to relax ... all will turn out as it is supposed to!

I think they are all wonderful names, with special meanings. Why not wait until baby is born, and see which one "fits"? I got a wonderful clarity while in labor with my second, and his name was decided on the spot after months of trying...

My personal vote would be Maren Kristina. (I like the prn MAH-ren) But again, all are wonderful names to be proud of!
