Bonnie
I like it because it's easy to say, you rarely know more than 1 at a time, but it's not unusual.
There is not a single reason why I dislike my name.
I'm looking for a pretty/feminine name that can be broken into a cutsie nickname for her younger years. I would prefer it to be of Celtic origin. Yet, still fall into the category of my own name where you rarely know more than 1 at a time, but not too unusual.

I like my name because it is pretty and feminine without being to frilly and popular without being overly popular(I think it rates 75)
I love everything about my name.
Well I have already had my DD and we can't have anymore due to my DHs Vasectomy(sp). I just really like names. But when I was looking for my DDs name I wanted something girly, feminine, and popular. So we named her Haylei(hay-lee).
~Shelby~
SAHM to Haylei

I like it for the same reason ... it's pretty & you hardly ever meet one.
I don't have any reasons for NOT liking the name Bonnie.
I'm not looking for any names. I had my 4th son 10 1/2 months ago & got hooked on this site over a year ago when I was struggling for a name for him!
Sorry, I'm not familiar w/ Celtic names so I can't help you & I can't help the 2nd poster since she's not looking for a name!
Peggy
I like my name because... you never meet someone with my name. I only have EVER met two people and one was using Peggy as a nn for Mary Margaret.
I don't like my name because...It has egg in it. And the piggy reference wasn't that great when I was young. And it's a nn for Margaret not a formal name. I don't like the name Margaret either but at least then I could have gone with Greta, Meg, Maggie or similar as a nn.
I'm looking for a unique name. One that isn't too out there but is different. It should go with the middle name Dora (my maiden name) and a last name that starts with a K. The last name has two short e sounds in it.
Suggestion for the first poster, firstglimpse: A celtic/gaelic name I think is pretty is Cecilia with nn CeCe (very cute). I've only ever met one Cecelia.
I like that it's not 'too' common, and it just suits me very well
The nn Cassie *shivers*
For a girl, I like names that are old-fashioned, but not at all classic or popular today, usually more 1910s - 1940s type names, something a little bit unusual, but not out there, a little feminine, but more strong feminine, not girly/frilly
For Peggy, I'd maybe suggest Beatrice/Beatrix/Beatriz

I like its simplicity, various meanings (Persian - sun, Russian - lady), the fact that it starts with a K, and because it's feminine but has some strength to it. I like the nn that go with it, like Ki, Ki Ki and Kira Deara. :)
I don't like the fact that Kira and a jillion spelling variations are gaining popularity so quickly that it may soon be absolutely overdone to death.
I've decided on a girl's name, but am looking for a boy's name with an African sound. So far my favorite is Jibri (ji-BREE), which is actually Arabic - but I am still looking around.
For Cassandra (love that name too), here are a few old-fashioned names that came to mind, mostly from my older relatives and their friends:
Millie
Florence
Lucille
Roberta
Ruby (kind of popular again)
Edith
Ruth
Thelma
Marcella
Olive
Charlene
Best of luck to all.
Why do you like it? I like that it's not too common and not too unusual. I like that I have a "formal" name and a nickname--I like them equally.
What don't you like about it? can't think of anything
What are you looking for in a name? I'm looking for a "D" boy name that is unusual (not a trendy name, where he'll be one of 5 _____s in his kindergarten class). There is a D tradition in my DH's family. So we can't use Donald, Drake, David, Daniel, Douglas, Dana, Dawson, Daegan (my 3 YO son), or Dakota. Can't use Deric (or any variation) since that was my ex-boyfriend just before DH. We don't want a Jr. DH has suggested Dexter or Devin. I had liked Dalton, but now I'm not sure anymore.

For Kira, I really like Jibri! Does it go with your last name? I'm not sure what else to suggest. I lent my "Baby Names of the World" book to my SIL.
Why do you like it? I have never "met" a JoLee and until a couple days ago a Josephine either. Josephine was my grandmothers name.
What don't you like about it? Before the name became popular many ppl mispronounced it ex. Jolly.
What are you looking for in a name? I am not in a hurry we just had our ds in Feb and are not ttc until around 2006. A girl name to go w/ Baleigh Ann and Hunter James, we like Dakota for a boy.

What I like: Isn't terribly common, or at least it wasn't until recently. The first time I met another Kristen was in highschool.
What I dislike: There are dozens of similar names like Christine, Kirsten, Krista, Christian, etc, so people are forever messing it up.
What I'm looking for in a name: Something that's not too common but not too unusual. Girls names I like include Brighit, Sidney and Avery. Boys names I like include Benjamin, Charlie and Simon.
Suggestions for the previous poster:
Girls: Aislin, Ailis, Aileen.
Boys: Braden, Brendan, Declan
Why do you like it? ~ it's pretty, classy, classic, and everybody knows how to pronounce it!
What don't you like about it? ~ it's too LONG. with ln 8 letters long, a fn 9 letters long was a lot to write as a kid
What are you looking for in a name? ~ not really looking...boys' names come easy to me but girls' names are so hard to come up with. I'm afraid I'll only have one girl to name and I want to pick the right one.
ONE - SINGLE - suggestion to the previous poster's 'what are you looking for in a name' ~ suggest Charla for a girl (somewhat like Charlie) and Silas for a boy (somewhat like Simon)
