On my class roll, I have half of four sets of twins! In other words, I have one of the kids, while the other is in a different class. Is this crazy? Apparently, there are at least four sets of twins in our second grade this year. Two of these sets, I taught in Pre-K several years ago, though not at the same time.........one set was held back in first.

Here are the names:

Julie Anne and Joseph Dean (Julie will be in my class, I taught them together in PK)

Bryson Daniel and Chandler Daniel (Bryson will be with me.......all four boys in this

family have the middle name Daniel)(I taught these together in PK, too)

Josefina and Joanna (no middles.......Josefina will be in my class)

Christopher Liam and Nathan Xaine (Christopher will be in my class)

I have several interesting names in my class this year, but left the list in the car to peruse during my lunch break between meetings tomorrow, so won't post those until I can put the complete list.

This might be a once in a life time phenonoma. For example all of my grandma's birthdays were within three days of one another. They were born in different years.

My dad's mom Nov 24 1903, My mom's father's wife (we still called her grandma) Nov 27,1917, and my mom's mom Nov 30, 1905. I was born Nov 25.

Laela May I further add it might be more interesting if they were all identical. Perhaps we should try for triplets?

None of them are identical. I don't think we have any triplets in the school, in fact, I've never met any triplets at all. We do, however, often have twins in our population of 750+ students. Since there are only three English second grades, it's not too far off the odds that I got one of each set. People that know me on this board (and that've been here as long as I have), probably remember me posting my other sets of twins I've taught before.........I usually have one set a year. It just happens that some of these have been held back, and now are entering second grade together.

I thought someone looking for names might like some of the twin combos, and I also wanted to share such an unusual occurence with my friends on the board. I have no hidden agendas, and don't need extra attention, so everything I post is always the truth. I kind of read into your answer that you may not believe it.....I can see that it might be hard to believe, but it is true. Strange things happen sometimes.............

in my son's pre-K class last year we had 2 set of twins out of 13 kids-so 1/3 of the class consisted of twins. Both were fraternal sets. Sabrina & Ashley(G/G twins) Jacob & Bailee(B/G) This fall Sabrina & Ashley will be in different K classes, but Jacob & Baylee will be in the same class. Just wanted to add our experiance.

It doesn't matter if I believe you in which I do. A lot of strange and wonderous things happen in this day and world. Now just think on the positive side you gave some wonderful names and you told a beautiful story. Thank you.
