I'm swedish, therefore my bad spelling, but i have been on many namesite that says they have true swedish names , and many are wrong grender, not swedish or uncommon.

For example, in sweden a man named Ragnar is around 60-90 years old hardly any boys get that name today, in many namessites Ragnar says to be a good boy name and common.

Therefore i have deside to help peolpe in the search of swedish names.

I haven't found a site on the webb in english that is correct about swedish, norweigan , danish or finnish names.

Often they have namnes that is unpopular or not in used any more.

When ivillage had chatt, I found girl with younger brothers named Rune and Rolf , noone under 30 is named Rune and hardly any under 20 is named Rolf.

And if you need help swedish name, email me on krakatua@mail-online.dk

I Love the name Elin. It was my grandmothers name. My father is 100% swedish, My great Uncles name was Thorsten. (We called him Tot for short)

My last name is Olsson. When I have children, I want to give them swedish names, so thankyou for your post on that website, and keep posting if you find more.
