Hi all,

I like the name "clar-REESE", but don't know how best to spell it. Any ideas?

Clarice, Clareese, Clarisse, etc

Thanks!

Elaine

I would use Clarice or Clarise.

I have to disagree with a lot of people...I like Clarisse. I looks more feminine. Clarice might get mispronounced as "Cla - rice" as in rice the food. Just a thought.

Nope, Clarice is the best choice all around. It's spelled traditionally which should foil anyone who tries to pronounce Clar-ICE. It's the simplest spelling and it's much classier that way.

My feeling is that would be Clarisse would be prounounced Clar-ISS and Clareese just doens't look right for some reason.

Clarice: Very pretty name--not too old fashioned and not over-used...Congrats!

I would go with Clarice, though I like how Clarisse looks better. In my head, however, I see "Clarisse" as Clah-RISS... or else I see it as the name of a French beauty company...kind of like Finesse.

best of luck to you!
