Hi all...my cousin is due w/ DS#2 in about 4 weeks and is desperate for a name...nothing she comes up with she really loves..well, she loves Griffin, but her DH doesn't agree...they say they are going to use Maddox if they can't come up w/ anything else. But her mom and sister keep making fun of Maddox and she's starting to get upset. So, anything you guys can come up with would be helpful. It's hard to find something to go well with Marshall........TIA

The first name I thought of was Matthew, Matt for short.

Then I thought what about Merrick? I've always loved this name. I think it goes well with Marshall.

Must it begin with an M?

Marshall and Hunter sound good together to me.

They are both common boy names but technically can be "occupation type" names too.

As someone who LOVES Maddox, I hesitate to give other suggestions! LOL

If she and her dh both like it, I don't see the problem. Sounds like mom and sister have the problem.

Personally, I don't like for sibling names to start with the same letter. I think it takes away some of the appeal of each name. While I like Marshall and I adore Maddox, and they are definitely in the same style of names, when they are put together as siblings, it sounds too cutesy.

Others to go with Marshall (many of which mom & sis will have many hours of fun with!)-

More unique- Gannon, Hartley, Garreth, Collin, Rowan, Ross, Ramsey, Archer, Pierson, Porter, Turner, Everett, Chasen, Brogan, Brody, Kendrick, Grady, Sheldon, Talbot, Brennan, Leland, Ames, Lochlan, Stefan, Easton, Leverett, Braxton, Paxton, Jansen/Jantzen, Lander, Granger/Grainger, Brandtley/Brantley, Burke, Berkeley, Landry, Kenton, Collier, Shaw, Channing, Aldrich, Abbott, Baldwin, Larson, Damen, AND MY VERY FAVE- **Calder**(call-der)

More common but still not too trendy, b/c to me Marshall is not in the trendy category- Garrett, Spencer, Alden, Carter, Graham, Parker, Owen, Brady, Brendan, Keegan, Corbin, Weston, Evan, Landon, Walker, Tucker, Tyson, Asher, Holden

These are some that are in the same "vein" as Marshall but are simply too "hot" right now- Rhys/Reece, Riley, Caden, Braden, Brice, Conner, Logan, Carson, Cameron, Gage, Jackson

Let us know what she decides! Ginger
