Idea for first name!

Hi everyone! I'm looking for ideas for both boys and girl names. My husband is very picky. He doesn't like anything to "strange". So, far the only thing we have agree on is the middle name. My last name begins with an 'S'.

Girl MN- Elizabeth (after his grandmother)

Boy MN- John (after my grandfather and father)

Some names we have though of so far are....

Jordan, Paige, Delaney

Joshua, Owen, Jack (but its my parents dogs name), Sam (but its my brother's dogs name)

My nephews/neices names are Emma Reanne, Camden Robinson (Scottish Sir Name), Marissa Mae, and Tyler Joseph.

Thanks,

Kristi

I definitely love the family middle names. That's a great start.

Of the girl names you've thought of, I'd scratch Jordan. I've just heard it too much. I know three Jordan Elizabeths!

Paige is beautiful and grows up well with a girl. Nice choice.

I love Delaney. Delaney Elizabeth is a little long though...

Scratch Jack & Sam unless the dogs are really old and will be gone soon. These are dog names to me, anyway. I can say this b/c my name is Ginger. Now, thank goodness, Ginger has dropped in popularity as a dog name. BUT, when I was growing up, there was a family pet named Ginger at everyone's house, and everyone thought it was so funny... There are stronger names out there for your son that sound similar w/o being so "pettish." What about Jackson John? Or Samuel John? And don't shorten?

Joshua John- pretty good, but a little rhymey

Owen John- Very nice, this one is really growing in popularity though

Do you mind a popular name?

Others that seem to be in keeping with your style-

Girls- Laurel Elizabeth, Jillian Elizabeth, Maryn Elizabeth, Ragan Elizabeth, Sage Elizabeth, Cassidy Elizabeth, Raina Elizabeth

It seems you like short, simple, strong boy names...you could do a more formal name and use a nickname-

Boys- Lucas John (Luke), Nathaniel John(Nate), Patrick John(Pate), Graham John(Gray), Andrew John(Drew), Daniel John(Dane), William John(Liam), Theodore John(Theo)---Some of these have really great meanings too!

I also like Rowan John, Asher John, Alec John, Christian John, Adam John & Erik John.

Hope this helps! Keep us updated! Take care, Ginger

Hi. I think my sister has a beautiful name Kristine Elizabeth. Her middle name is my Grandma's name. Other idea's: Emily (Yes from the Clifford books but I think it's cute.), Josie, Claire, Jenifer, Andrea, and Kimberly.

As for boys names, I'm at a loss. Robert John is the only one I can come up with.

Good luck!

I love Paige and Delaney and think that both sound great with Elizabeth, not so fond of Jordan though, it has a much more trendy feel that the others. I think it will be very dated in a few years.

Jack and Sam are both popular for dogs and kids, lol. I'd put Max in that same catagory. I don't think I would use either of those since they do have a pet conncetion for you. Owen and Joshua are both nice.

I like Elizabeth and Jordan. I'd stay away from your family's dogs names- they will think of the dog when you say the name and it will also confuse the pet when you visit.
