Need FN for this MN (girl)

Since my DH and I don't know what we're having we need to come up with a girl and a boy name. The boy name was easy. We had lots of ideas, but I think we've finally settled on one. But the girl name is much harder. I want to use the MN Edith, after my grandmother who passed last year. I know it isn't a poplar name or anything, but to me it's beautiful b/c my grandma was so beautiful. But I'm having a hard time coming up with a FN that sounds good with Edith. She was Mary Edith, but went by Edith. I have 2 DD's Ashley Marie and Abigail Kathryn (Abby). So I'd like something that sounds good with their names as well.

Any ideas anyone?

Have you considered using Meredith - combining Mary and Edith - to honor your grandmother? I think that's a beautiful name too.

Good luck.

Hi again! I love the use of your grandmother's name. Wonderful way to memorialize her and honor your daughter.

To go with Ashley Marie and Abigail Kathryn, I like-

1. To move to letter B- Certain B- names sound great with the others- *Bethany Edith*, Bianca Edith, Bella Edith, Bekka Edith, Brittan Edith, Betsy Edith, Breanna Edith, Brynna Edith

2. Ashley- six letters, Abigail- seven letters, next name- eight letters- *Maryanna Edith-also love the Mary in this,* Callista Edith(like Callie w/ Abby), Felicity Edith, Penelope Edith, Victoria Edith, Jessamyn Edith

3. Names I just like with Ashley & Abby- *Cassandra Edith* (love Cass/Cassie with Abby), Halle Edith, Fiona Edith, Vanessa Edith, Natasha Edith, Stella Edith, Dana Edith, *Laurel Edith*, Rachel Edith, Rebecca Edith(could call her Becca), Tabatha Edith, Millicent Edith(Millie), Camille Edith(Cami/Millie), Megan Edith(Meg)

Let us know what you decide! Take care, Ginger P.S. If you don't mind my asking, what did you decide to do about the boy name?

Thanks for your suggestions- I'm racking my brain to find something that I love. For a boy, I think we're going to go with Aidan Lee. (Lee is my DH's MN as well as his father..). What do you think? Ashley, Abby & Aidan? I was set to use Ethan but my best friend used it....sore spot. But I've since fallen in love with Aidan so all is well. =)

Any other suggestions you can think of? I'm always open to new ideas.

Thanks again. =)

I love Aidan Lee. Ashley, Abby, and Aidan sounds great! I also love the suggestion someone made of using Meredith as a combination of Mary and Edith. Great idea. Two of my favorite girl names are Alia and Adrienne, which would both go well with Edith: Alia Edith or Adrienne Edith. They would also both go well with Ashley and Abby. Good luck! Let us know what you choose.

There are already several great suggestions, but what about:

  • Avery Edith

  • Adrianna Edith

  • Aubree Edith

  • Audrey Edith

  • Arianna Edith

  • Alaina Edith

  • Allison Edith

  • Annabelle Edith

I thought it would be nice to stick with the A names.
