Boy name dilemma (quite long)

We have Logan Dakota, our 4 yr old, and we're pretty sure Pierce Ryker or Ryker Pierce for baby boy #2. I have been to dozens of "name" sites and looked in regular name books, but cannot find meanings of names for Logan, Ryker or Pierce. Can anyone help with where I can find it? For Logan, I've found celtic/gaeilic for small cove.
DH and I don't care for extremely popular or common names (Logan was a fave of mine for over 10 years); my ancestry is Cherokee Indian, so I have dark brown hair and almost black eyes, but my father's lighter skin. My husband is olive toned w/ green eyes & brown hair & a mix of Italian, German, and English-- had VERY blond hair up until late teen years from all pics I saw -- why this is important to you, I'm not sure :), but Logan has a darker complection w/ very dark brown hair and my almost black eyes - I think some names are for darker looking people and some are for the lighter complection. For example, both DH and I like the name Ashley, Hunter, and Nicholas for a boy (wierd considering what we've chosen, I know, but already kind of "knowing" what our boy will look like, none of those names "fit".) We-well, DH- had a hard time w/ Logan (he wanted Hunter), until he saw him. Within seconds after the birth, he said, "Oh, he IS a Logan".
So, I guess my questions are: any ideas where I can find meanings for the more modern names we've chosen, or, just some history on the names? and, does anyone have any opinions of Pierce and Ryker w/ Logan? Do they seem to fit well together? (Derek & Natalie are our names BTW) We don't like it when siblings' name don't seem to fit each other - like if we were to name boy #2 Nicholas - it just wouldn't fit w/ Logan, you know? Sorry to be such a pain - have visited this board a few times and finally got up the courage to ask! Thanks so much for your time and response!

I also like the spelling Piers for Pierce, but I am sure that Pierce would be wiser in use because a lot of people would no doubt pronounce the former like the plural of the word pier.
Good luck!
Cute Baby Batman story btw!!!
