That is my sisters name. I really like it, a much cute alternative to Christine IMO, and easier off the tounge than Keirsten.

I love the name! After all my name is Kristin! lol.

And i much prefer this spelling over all the other various ways to spell the name.

I also think it goes well with your other DD's names. I dont have a nn either, its simply Kristin, some ppl call me Kris, i dont really like it but its alright. My mother always refused me to be called Kris, Krissy or Kristy. But if you like it the nns go well with Mariah, Abigial, Grace and Nicole

Just thought I would commetn as well. My name is Kristen. I love the name, and even in high school did not share the name with many others. I am known as Krissy by my DH and Kris by my relatives. I also love your girls names, seing as my middle name is Nicole. All in all, I think Kristin or Kristen is a great name.

I do like the name Kristin. While it is not one of my favorites, I like it a lot. I tend to meet only Kristins/Kristens who are around age 22-26 (just a tad younger than I am) so I think it may be ready for another "go 'round" now!

(Slightly off topic sidenote: My best friend (28) is named Kirstin and she has always hated her name. Everyone mispronounces it as either Kristin or Kierstan, and she says that she likes both of those FAR better than Kirstin!)

I think that Kristin would be a nice complement to your other DDs' names. Abigail and Grace stand out to me as a bit more formal/old-fashioned, while Nicole and Mariah are less so. Kristin fits in very well, IMHO. I like the way that all of your DDs' names are quite different in their sound/first letters. I love that.

Good luck!!

I do like Kristin but I like Kristen better. Your daughter's names are unusual in the fact that you have two very beautiful old fashioned names and two very trendy newer names. It's rare you run into someone of such diverse naming taste. With that said, you really don't have a style to match so Kristin/Kristen would work well with what you have. My preference would be to go with a more classic name but Kristin is certainly much better than the majority of names out there.

it's okay. It's not a favorite of mine, by no stretch, but it's definitely pleasant! I mean, there's nothing particularly WRONG with it. But I guess that's part of the issue for me...I don't really feel it has much oomph. But that's just me. It's the sound of the name, though, not the spelling. My opinion doesn't change if it's spelled Krysten or Kristyn. It's got a

I really like Kristin (I prefer sp. Kristen). It's a name that is not overly used anymore, but does not feel dated to me. It has a lot of nicknames, too, which makes it a versatile name, and is another plus in my book.

I do also like Kirsten or Kiersten (I would pronounce both of those as KEER-stin), but I think those names are probably more popular than Kristen nowadays. If you want something very unusual, I was watching a tv movie the other day (based on a true story) and a girl's name was Kysten (pr. KISS-ten).

I think Kristin/Kristen fits in perfectly with your other daughter's names.

Good luck!
