WDYT of the name Adeline?

our little girl is due in August and we're discussing many names. I really like the name Adeline... I love madeline but that is becoming too popular and Caroline is picking up as well, which I like. It has elements of both of these names and the nickname Addie is cute if I wanted to use that. Problem is my husband is not sure about it... I figured I get some other opinions. Siblings are Vincent (vince) and Charlotte.

Thanks!

I like Adeline! It is a name that i will likely use if/when I ever have children. It has the same meaning as Heidi, which is my aunt's name, but I can't use any H names because of my last name. I think Adeline, Adelaide, and Adela are all charming--and nicknames Addie or Ada are also very sweet!

Hi there. I really love the name Adeline. You're absolutly right that it's a lovely alternative to Madeline. Madeline is a beautiful name, but there are little Madeline's running around everywhere. Addie is a sweet nn too, & a wonderful alternative to the ever popular Maddie. Adeline has such an old time charm to it...perfect. I really like Vince & Charlotte too, & Adeline/Addie couldn't fit in any better. A few more uncommon "line" names that you may like are:

Clementine

Emmeline/Emmaline

Rosaline

A few more "Addie" names are:

Adora

Adina

Hope this helps. :)
