How do/would you pronounce Julia?

Julee-a or
Jul-ya

Do you notice a difference or are they interchangeable?

Yep, I hear it and say Julee-a except to our 4 year old neighbor who has a lisp and says it JOOL-ya so I say what she says and she likes it that way.

they're the same, and interchangeable, it's just a matter of whether or not people really enunciate it or say it faster

I've noticed this phenomenon with my niece's name, Lauren. I have a bit of a northeastern accent, and I pronounce her name "Lore-In." They named her with the intention that it be pronounced "Lar-En." I know it drives my brother-in-law nuts!

Julee-a but I wouldn't really notice a difference between the 2 pronunciations enough to make it matter.

That has been a topic in my family too! My middle name is Julia and I pronounce it Juleeea. Others pronounce it Jul-ya and it has always bugged me a little! :)
