Godmother gift

I need help! I'm trying to think of a special gift to give my daughter's Godmother on the Christening day. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

first thing that popped into my mind was a nice pair of earrings. not real expensive, moderately priced.
can't tell you why that immediately popped into my head, it just did.
I am Godmother to my husband's niece. It's such a special honor! I have many ideas-
1. A hankie with her initial to be carried again on baby's other special occasions (I've seen these in stores- there's even one that has a poem about the godmother carrying it on baby's wedding day).
2. A framed picture of the baby in Christening gown
3. A charm bracelet with a Christening charm (date, baby's name, etc.) You could give her more charms on occasions that would be special to both her and baby (birthdays, mother's day, graduations, first communion, confirmation, wedding, etc.). It could sort of be her "godchild" bracelet.
3. A matching bracelet or pendant for her and baby (if baby is a girl)
Also, somewhere on the web I've seen a poem about godmothers. You could have it printed and framed.
Hope this helps!
Let me know what you decide! Ginger
There's a silver bracelet that's designed actually for the tooth fairy - the idea is you give them the charm bracelet and then buy a little pearl charm each time they lose a tooth.
Well, since she's going to be a godmother how about a religious item?
Rosaries, devotional books, bibles, medals, etc. all would make nice gifts to a godparent, and would not only serve as a reminder to them of the important duty to help you bring up the child in the Christian faith, but a devotional item could boost her faith as well.
