Hi, what do you think of the name Star? I really like it, our last name is french and sounds french. Star, for a girl or a boy? Please give me opinions on what your first expectation would be of meeting someone called Star.

It's NMSAA sorry. However, I would definetly think it was a girls name. I do like Star for a mn though.

Sorry,

P.S. I edited because I noticed your screen name.....If your "real name" is Raine...then I guess Star would go well with yours. But I still say definetly girl.

I like Star, definitely for a girl though. I imagine her to be the cute popular type, lots of friends, outgoing, that sort of thing. And don't worry about people not taking her seriously in careers. I once went to a bank seminar and the speaker's name was Honey. Yep, actually Honey! Good luck!

I don't care for it. It sounds very 80's-ish to me. I prefer Stella or Astrid if you want a star-themed name.

My first thought was "Psychic!" I did know someone named Ember Star once though. I think I'd use it for a mn if I were to use it.

Hi,

I knew someone named Star when I was growing up. She lived across the street from us. She was probally about 8 years older than me, and I thought she was so cool :) She was very pretty and popular in school. To this day she is a very pretty person. Always had gorgeous hair. That's just my perception of someone I knew, her name fit her well.

I like the name Star, but only for a girl. Your son would be miserable. I had 2 friends growing up named Star. One girl spelled it Starr. It is kinda 80's. I love the name Stella, and it sort of sounds like Star. I hope this helps!

***What do you think of the name Star?

Well, since you asked I really can't stand it. It reminds me of Star Jones-the really annoying tv personality who was hyping up her wedding a few months ago.

***I really like it, our last name is french and sounds french.

Well, I would expect a French surname to sound French LOL Have you thought about giving a child a French name that goes with your surname? Soleil (meaning sun) perhaps for a little girl.

***Star, for a girl or a boy?

Gal's name definately.

***Please give me opinions on what your first expectation would be of meeting someone called Star.

Again, since you asked for opinions. Frankly, it would give me the impression that she is either Jenna Jameson or really annoying like Star Jones. I do not have a good impression at all.

Star is a girl's name IMO, and one that I don't like. Not to offend anyone, but it makes me think of a stripper, or someone who's not very educated.
