our last name ends with R. we were just throwing around names last night (not due until Jan, but we never agree on names...took us 7 1/2 mo to name dd!). my dh likes names that end with R...one in particular, Kyler. i like it, but Kyler Meyer just seems to rhymy for me. WDYT? even going with like Spencer Meyer...they sound rhymy OR is it just me?

the problem with Kyler Meyer is more that they both have that Long I sound in them than that they both end in an R. with both problems it is way too rhymey. I wouldn't recommend it.
I'm trying to think of other er enders to see what I think with Meyer - Conner Meyer, almost reminds me of Oscar Meyer like the hot dogs. Tanner Meyer, no way. Spencer Meyer, a little better but I wouldn't go there, Skylar Meyer - no way, Hunter Meyer, no way, Parker Meyer. No, I give up on that.
I think you'd be better off with the dozens of "en, in or on" ender choices. Austin, Brennan, Braeden, Colton, Colin, Dustin, Dylan, Donovan, Evan, Ethan, Gavin, Holden, Hayden (unisex though), Ian, Jaden, Justin, Keegan (one of my favorites), Landon, Nathan (or Nathaniel), Payton (unisex though), Preston, Tristan.
others that I think are in the style of the er and en,in,on enders, but end differently: Derek, Eric, Garrett, Jared, Lucas.
I'm thinking Meyer is probably of German descent - Holden is too, although that surprises me kind of when I looked it up. I thought it was one of the Irish/Scottish variety before I looked it up. That'd sound good - Holden Meyer.
good luck
