I'm having twins..Do you like Ellie/Claire as baby names? If not, what would be a good name for the nn of Ellie(and not Eleanor). Our backup name is Natalie Claire. We also like Delaney Noelle, that way they both will have "Christmas" names..We were going to go with an Asian middle name, but decided against it.Thanks in advance.Any input you can give would be very appreciated.

I LOVE Natalie Claire and Delaney Noelle. I wouldn't do the whole "Ellie" thing. It has gotten to be WAY too popular. I do like Claire. How about Claire Jillian and Paige Noelle? Good luck! Twin girls! What a dream come true!!

What fun - twin girls :-)

I like Delaney Noelle and Natalie Claire also.

Other options for Ellie

Elisabeth Claire nn Ellie

Eliza Claire nn Ellie

Elliot Claire nn Ellie

Elyse Claire or Elise Claire nn Ellie

Ella Claire nn Ellie

I also like Eloise, but I might do: Eloise Noelle and Delaney Claire

I think Ellie and Claire would be very, very sweet. Claire is gorgoeus and so simple and beautiful. I love Ellie, its adorable, and I like the idea of giving her a different fn and using Ellie as a nn. What about Elena, Ellen/Ellyn, Elizabeth, Elise, Elisha, Eliza, Eloise or Elspeth. Personally, I like Elizabeth nn Ellie and Claire. That would be so beautiful.

I really like Ellie and Claire. They are not too twinny, but they go really well together!!! I like Ellie because its different from Ella(which is very popular) but still has the same cuteness. Elena or Elana might work, its cute and its more grown up so she could use it in her older years. Good Luck!!!

Congratulations on your twins!! I applaud you for giving each of them her "own" name. My mom is a twin and HATES that her name "matches" her sister's.

I love Ellie and Claire and agree that Ellie should have a more formal option for adulthood. My problem is that I don't like a lot of the formal options. Elena or Elaina is nice. Elise flows nicely with Claire.

I love Delaney, but it is not really the same style as Claire. I agree that it goes nicely with Natalie.

Good luck!!!
