Why is this so hard??

Hi all! Here I am, due any day now with no possible boys names in the hopper. Last name starts with "L", no real specifics for a middle name although James is the likely front runner. Already have a DS named Logan. I'm not one to go for the super traditional names (Matthew, David, etc), but I don't want to just do the trendy thing either. (I know, I know, Logan has become a trend kind of name, but I promise, I didn't know that when I chose it :)) For instance, I had considered Aidan for a bit, but it seems to be gaining such popularity I was turned away from it.

Have considered Landon. But I know there are tons of others I'm missing. I'm swayed toward the names ending in -n- but I know those are the ones gaining the most popularity right now. Any suggestions at all would be helpful. DH and I both work with trouble kids, mostly boys, so boy names are a small nightmare for us due to negative associations. Help!

Hi there,

Logan's got some gaelic roots, so maybe you'll like some on our list- most of these are relatively common in the UK, if they seem a bit odd here.

Ewan (DS's name)
Rory
Ross
Lachlan (the first syllable is from loch, i.e. scots lake. Also sp Lochlan, Lochlin)
Lewis
Callum/Calum
Colum/Colm/Malcolm
Ciaran/Kieran
Robert (DS's middle name, historically common but I don't know too many little Robs out there)
Gavin
Fergus
Finn, Finlay, Finnian
Ian, Sean
Cillian/Kilian
Kenneth
Keith

Maybe that helps?? Do tell us all what you pick in the end!

Here are some names that I like with Logan:

Ashton James
Caden James (like Aidan but not as popular)
Callen James
Carson James
Corbin James
Ethan James
Holden James
Keenan James
Mason James

Funny, these names are all on my list. I am having a hard time choosing too. Corbin is my favorite right now and I love it with James. Good luck!

I like Gavin James. I don't know how popular Gavin is right now though... Good Luck!

I didn't read through the other posts, so many of my suggestions may be duplicates

I think Landon is great with Logan. And, while you see it mentioned on this board a lot, I honestly don't know any in my area, so I don't think it's really that terribly popular or trendy.

here are others I think work well with Logan: (all of the aden's have become too popular, or it seems like there are too many of them - Aiden, Jaden, Kaden, Caden, Braeden, Hayden, even Zayden)

Aaron, Brennan, Conner, Colin, Colton, Derek, Dylan, Dustin, Evan, Ethan, Garrett, Holden, Hunter, Ian, Jared, Keegan, Kyler, Mason, Payton, Preston, Parker, Skylar, Spencer, Tanner, Trevor, Tristan.

good luck
