All of your choices are great!

I love Emile, but I would be afraid that he might get teased because it sounds a little like a girl's name in the US. I knew a guy named Emil (pronounced Ay-mil) and I thought that was nice.

I think that Oscar is my favorite. It is masculine, but sweet. I can picture an adorable little boy Oscar and a handsome man.

Julian is another name that could be construed as a female. My nephew had a Julian on his Little League team. Everyone called him Jules or Julie. The problem was that this boy had longer hair and I SWORE that he was a girl the entire game. He was one of those beautiful little boys with delicate features.

Charles (nn Charlie) is great. When I first saw Charles Spencer, I thought of the Royal Family for some reason (Diana Spencer married Prince Charles LOL). I think Charles Francis would be nice.

One other suggestion might be Owen. It fits with these names as well....

OoOoOoh Charles Francis! Lovely!

Emile I like but would be confused w/ Emily, I have no doubt of that. Oscar is just nms and Julien is too feminine for me {lol I like Francis though go figure}

Emile Georges- nms, I think its sort of feminine and I just can't picture it on a kid.
Oscar Francis- nms again, I think Oscar the Grouch, lol. I prefer Emile over this.
Julian- very nice. I like it a lot. Julian Spencer is nice.
Charles Spencer- i Love the nn Charlie, its adorable. Charles is nms (I think of a middle aged man), but Charlie is so cute. Perfect!

If you live in the U.S., then I have to say that Emile would be a tough one. There are lots and lots of little Emilys, and some are spelled Emilie. This would be a hassle for a little boy, in my opinion. Julian is getting more popular with American boys, but again, with all the Julias out there, I wouldn't do it to my son. Charles, nn Charlie, is great, imo. Oscar is a bit more unusual, but definitely all boy. This is one name I can't see becoming unisex. You can't go wrong with Oscar or Charles.

Emile Georges--I have a cousin named Emilio, which I do like better than Emile. I know its a french spelling, it just looks more feminine to me.

Oscar Francis--I have a hard time seeing Oscar as an adult, but seems like a cute child name.
Julian- I really like this name, how about Julian Francis?
Charles Spencer- My favorite of this list.

Emile Georges ~ I quite like this, I tend to favour softer-sounding boy names, and much prefer the French pronunciation of Georges to the English George. However, I'm Canadian of Quebecois heritage and speak French reasonably well. If you're American, I'm a little concerned about how Emile will be read. I suspect it will be mistaken for Emily a lot of the time, since the name is so popular right now and there are a wealth of variant spellings such as Emilie, Emilee, etc. Emil would avoid this, but of course doesn't honour your husband's French heritage. Overall, a lovely name, but not necessarily a practical one.

Oscar Francis ~ I rather like this, both of these names have been growing on me. They still wouldn't be my choices, but I think they sound solid and distinctive.

Julian ~ This is my favourite from your list (I think either Francis or Spencer could work in the middle). It's cute and spunky for a child, but also distinguished and handsome on a man.

Charles Spencer ~ I'll be honest, I've always rather disliked Charles. I have no good reason for it, though, I can't point to anything 'wrong' with it, just my personal taste. I probably have a bad association from early childhood or something... in other words, I don't like it, but don't give my opinion much weight. I do really like Spencer, though.

I'd go with Julian (Spencer, if it were up to me) first, Oscar Francis second, Emile Georges third (if you're in Britain or Canada, though, where French names are more familiar, this might move up to second), and Charles Spencer last. All solid choices, though.

For some reason, I've loved Charles, nn Charlie, lately. It definitely gets my vote. :)
