First, I want to say that I love Cameron John. I think it's a great name. And I think that anyone who saw Sydney and Cameron would know immediately which was which thanks to the spellings. Yes, both names are unisex, but if the genders were reversed I would expect the spellings to be Sidney and Camryn. Also I know quite a few girls name Sydney and no boys with that name, so I usually assume it to be a girl when I hear it. And while Cameron is closer, I still think of Cameron as a boys name.

So I say that if you really like Cameron John you should stick with it and not worry about the gender issue.

However, with that said, here are a few boys names that end in "E" that you might like (I included only full names that end in that sound as opposed to nicknames like Joey and Danny) ...

Anthony
Bradley
Grady
Gregory
Henry
Jeffrey
Montgomery
Timothy
Wesley
Zachary

Personally, my favorites are Wesley, Henry and Zachary. Good luck!

I really don't think it would matter with both names being unisex. I can't see a boy being named Sydney, especially spelt that way. And Cameron is more common on boys. I don't really like the pattern of all of you having "y" ending names. You should just pick a name you love. And I can't think of too many boy names with this ending. Here are some other suggestions though:
Caleb
Gavin
Wyatt
Austin
Gage
Camden
Rylan
Kyler
Myles
Jamie (short for James?)
McKauley

Hi there, Kim,
I recognize you from the January EC (I'm due with #2 on 1/28) - welcome!
I agree that Cameron is a great name for a boy and you should go for it if it's the name you both love, but I can see your dh's concern, too. I don't think you should tie yourself to the ee ending, either. It seems like that would rule out a lot of names you love, and especially if you might have more kids, that would be a shame.
If you did want a more definitely boy name, from the ones you listed, I love:
Owen (a long-time favorite of mine!)
Charlie (short for Charles, though? Otherwise it could be seen as unisex too, just a thought.)
And I also like Carter and Andrew.
All the best,
Jodi

Otherwise, I love the name Brady.

Brady Cameron
Brady John
Brady Andrew

Good Luck!

of your list I like Andrew the best

Riley is really unisex - I know way more girls with Riley than boys

a lot of the boys names that end that way are unisex

how about Zachary? that one I like a lot

or Gregory? I like that one too

good luck

My son is Cameron, and the only females we've known with the name spelled it more feminine, like Camryn. I think most people would know that Sydney spelled with a y is a girl also. And, Joey, Charlie, and Riley are also unisex names these days. I know females with all three of those names. So, in my opinion, it doesn't matter, you should pick a name you like and not worry what everyone else is going to think. But, if it does bother you too much, here are some other names I think would go with Sydney, with the ee ending.

Zachary
Brady
Bradley
Corey
Cody
Danny
Harley
Kenny
Lenny
Marty
Mickey
Pauly
Rudy
Tony
Toby
Billy
Bobby
Willie
Benny
Benji
Emory
Jordy
Rory
Henry
Barry

good luck,
Ali

I agree totally w/ Annie! {huge surprise} Cameron is totally a boy's name and Sydney is totally a girl's name. {boys usually spell it Sidney don't they?} Maybe if I heard the two names I might wonder {BIG maybe, BIG might} if Sydney was a boy or a girl. Actually, most likely I would assume correctly. Sydney - girl Cameron - boy.

Cameron John is a great, awesome, wonderful name! {I also love Sydney btw! mind sharing her middle name? :)}

Hi there. I actually like Cameron John w/Sydney. Yes, they're both unisex, but Sydney (especially w/the Y spellig) is very obviously a girl name these days. Cameron spelled that way is most usually a boy name too. It wouldn't be too confusing, imo. However, it is a nice idea to have it end in a "Eee" sound. Here are some suggestions that work well w/Sydney-

Brody

Brady

Bradley

Bentley

Corey

Colby

Darby-Okay, probably too unisex, but so cute. ;)

Emory

Finlay

Grady

Hadley

Quincy

Rory

Wesley

Zachary

It was diffacult finding "Eee" ending boy names that aren't at least somewhat unisex. I really like Brody & Colby w/big sister Sydney. Hope this helps!

I think we're going to go with Cameron John.....we'll see what we come up with by the time he's ehere. Right now I'm calling him Cameron.

Sydney's middle name is Ann, after myself and my mom.
