Need a middle name...

Hey all, this is the first time I've posted on this board (and I admit I don't really read it) but I need some help. My DH and I are 32 weeks pregnant and I'm still floundering on a middle name for our son.
His first name is Clifford--long history of being a family name on both sides--plus I like that it's not a common one.
The last name is hyphenated--Initials are O-T.
I don't like alliteration--where the names have the same initial, so no C.C.s
Some names that I like but am not sure if they go.
Rudolph--and I keep hearing jokes about Clifford the big red dog and rudolph the red nose reindeer--but it means ancient wolf which has a strong energy about it. Nicknames that go with it are Rudy and Rollin which I also like.
I've also heard suggested just Wolfe for a middle name, which I also like.
I tend to like old English/Victorian names, but Clifford is a difficult one to work with, and I'm running out of time. Please help!
Jennifer

what about clifford rollins as a name i like the middle name rollins or something that is a common name that you like as the middle or what about switching clifford to the middle name. you know you can always call him by his middle name. my son has two middle names and we call him by one of them...

I agree...Clifford Rudolph is asking for trouble, but I understand the meanings dilemma. I really like the strength of R names, too. So R names, wolfy names, and older names to maybe go with Clifford:
Wolfy:
Clifford Faolan/Fillin/Phelan (irish)
Clifford Lyall (CLOT,though?)
Clifford Lowell (as above)
Clifford Radulf
Clifford Ralph
Clifford Rafe (though this is just a phonetic version of the english Ralph)
Clifford Raul
Clifford Ranulf/Ranulph
Clifford Rolf (got that Sound of Music association, though)
Clifford Rudy
Clifford Rollo (chocolate association, though)
Clifford Wolfgang (2006 is the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth, after all!)
Clifford Wulfric
Clifford Wolf, Loup, Ulf, Varg or Zev.
Bear, Lion, Strong, Strength, Brave, Bold etc:
Clifford Arthur
Clifford Bernard
Clifford Bernt, Bernd
Clifford Mahon
Clifford Leo (that CLOT problem again...)
Clifford Leon
Clifford Llewellyn
Clifford Angus
Clifford Maynard
Clifford Raynard
Clifford Rayner
Clifford Gerard
Clifford Everard
Clifford Baldric
Clifford Hardy
Clifford Leopold
Clifford Archibald
Clifford Kenelm
Others:
Clifford Rupert
Clifford Roger
Clifford Redmund
Clifford Simon
Clifford Stephen
Clifford Soren
Clifford Felix
Clifford Foster
Clifford Jerome
Clifford Graham, Graeme
hehe- been adding to this for at least a couple of hours...deskwork goes better with a distraction! I hope you see something you like- I quite like Clifford Wulfric, Clifford Raul, Clifford Stephen, Clifford Arthur and Clifford Graham, myself. And if you do like classical music, Wolfgang would be an excellent mn for a 2006 baby (though our baby boy due in april is Fergus, and Fergus Wolfgang is a Bit Much...hmm...maybe if his twin isn't a girl after all...hmm hmm!)
