Name for third baby
| Mon, 05-14-2007 - 2:59pm |
Hello,
I am new to this...I am looking for help choosing a name for my third baby.
I have a 15 year old son, Nathan Hugh, a 9 month old son, Rory Lachlan and I am 11 weeks pregnant.
I love Finn for a boy but DH isn't very excited with it!
If the baby is a girl we will probably go with Callie.
Any suggestions for middle names?
M.

I like Finn and it goes well with your other two boys.
Other ideas:
Quinn
Declan
Sean
Nolan
Gavin
Reid
Ian
Corbin
For girls, Callie is nice, but I prefer it as a nickname. Do you like Calla or Calista?
Callie Rose
Callie Maris
Callie Raven
Callie Denise
Callie Elizabeth
Callie Simone
Other ideas with Nathan and Rory:

I kind of like Callie Faith or Callie Grace.
Maybe your dh would like another name that could use Finn as a nn?

Hugh, Rory and Lachlan are all favorites of mine (and my sister will probably use Nathan one day). ;) Wonderful style so far!
I believe Jazz already mentioned using a longer form of Finn as a given name, and I agree that may be a good way to get your dh to come around. Finnian, Findlay/Finley, Finnegas/Fingus, FIngal, Fintan, Finbar, Finnegan, Griffin, etc. ... so many great options. Even Phineas, nn Finn, for both a Biblical and Celtic link (to tie in all three boys' names). ;)
Callie seems a bit too nicknamey, but I know everyone else has already suggested plenty of more formal versions there.

I think Callie is very sweet- I love it.
With Nathan and Rory (which I love as well), how about
Gavin
Grant
Asher
Ashton
Everett/Rhett
Wesley
Wade
Preston
Micah
Holden
Jameson
I would use a family name as a mn, or just as good- let the brothers pick it, that way it has a nice story as to how he got it.
